Breastfeeding Awareness Week

World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is an annual celebration held from August 1st through the 7th in more than 120 countries around the world.  The first awareness celebration took place in 1991.  Nutrients in breast milk are easily digestible compared to formula.  Breast milk will reduce the risk of chronic diseases.  In addition, mothers lower their chances of breast cancer, ovarian cancer and anaemia.

Linsey VanAernem is a mother who takes breastfeeding very seriously.  She believes, “It is the Only Way.”  More women are steering toward the natural route when entering motherhood.  Linsey is a great example of a mother one should take notes from as she believes in the most natural ways of parenting.
